Andi Sharma works as a policy analyst during the day but has had a passion for aviation since childhood. Sharma says because of Northern Canada's isolated communities good, healthy food is hard to come by. For residents, a trip to the grocery store can be very expensive and requires a huge chunk of time.

Sharma says there is a food security crisis in the north and the Canadian government isn't paying enough attention. It was her love of flying coupled with the lack of economic opportunity and lack of affordable healthy food that she decided to fly 350 pounds of food to help isolated indigenous communities in northern Manitoba.
