Thousands of anti-government protesters and police have fought in Colombia's capital Bogota over President Ivan Duque's planned tax increase, in spite of COVID-19 curbs.
The government is proposing new or expanded taxes for citizens and businesses to shore up its pandemic-battered economy.
People are also protesting over the country’s precarious security situation.

Al Jazeera’s Alessandro Rampietti reports from Bogota, Colombia.
