UK’s May to eliminate ‘avoidable plastic waste’ by 2042

UK Prime Minister Theresa May has set out plans to tackle the amount of plastic thrown away every day. May made the announcement as part of proposals to tackle environmental issues. Millions of tonnes of plastics enter the oceans every year, and some take hundreds of years to biodegrade.
