US refugee ban ends, tougher vetting introduced

Refugees will be admitted into the US again after a four-month ban, imposed by Donald Trump, ended on Tuesday.

But fewer will be allowed entry and there are new, tougher vetting policies, in line with Trump’s promise to impose "extreme vetting" on all immigrants, as well as an additional 90-day wait for refugees from 11 countries the administration has deemed "high-risk".
