US toughens airport security for foreign flights

The US says it will require more security controls for flights arriving from abroad.

Airlines had been concerned that the laptop ban currently in place for flights from 10 Middle Eastern cities would be extended to all in-bound passengers.

Washington's new rules, which involve enhanced screening of passengers' electronic devices, do not go that far, but they came with a warning.
