Students across Venezuela are protesting against President Nicolas Maduro's planned constituent assembly, which could lead to a rewrite of the country's constitution and the government's consolidation of power.

The country is facing a prolonged economic and political crisis, with daily protests in the capital city calling for Maduro to step down from office and call fresh elections.
