Voting under way in Honduras presidential election

Hondurans have voted in a presidential election that's widely expected to keep their leader, Juan Orlando Hernandez, in power for a controversial second term.

Polls show Hernandez is likely to benefit from a Supreme Court ruling that overturned a constitutional ban on re-election.

Critics say he has gained too much power during his first term, controlling the judiciary and electoral court.

Opposition parties have monitors visiting the polling stations and have said they will only accept the ballots their monitors consider valid, not the official results.
