Voting under way in Morocco amid widespread apathy

Moroccans have been voting for new members of parliament and regional councils. These are the first elections held under new rules that make it more difficult for a party to get a majority in the House of Representatives.
An economic crisis and a sense of frustration about the lack of progress towards promised reforms have been motivating voters.
