Despite the Biden administration ramping up vaccine efforts, there are still significant disparities in the communities getting vaccinated. Communities of color have been disproportionately infected by the virus and are receiving less of the available vaccines. ‘People of color are getting vaccinated at rates below their representation of the general population,’ Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith said, who chairs Biden’s coronavirus equity task force. ‘This narrative can be changed. It must be changed.’
