Yemen: Aid agencies warn of mass starvation

The US has joined the UN and more than twenty other aid groups in appealing to Saudi Arabia to end its blockade in Yemen.

Humanitarian groups have warned that over 20 million people are in need of urgent help as food and fuel prices skyrocket in Yemen as the Saudi-led blockade tightens.

They say mass starvation, on an unprecedented scale, is potentially just weeks away unless aid is allowed into the country.
